THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ARUBA BEFORE VISITING

HOW TO GET THERE? You won’t find direct flights from Chicago to Aruba. Instead, we flew from Chicago to New Jersey, where we had a layover of an hour and a half before continuing on a 4-hour flight to Aruba. However, if you’re flying from anywhere down south, you’ll likely have a direct flight to Aruba.

What language is spoken?  Aruba is a vibrant melting pot of culture; several languages and several languages are spoken on the island. Officially, Dutch and Papiamento are recognized, along with English and Spanish. Engaging with locals was easy for us as they warmly conversed with us in English, showing their hospitality and enthusiasm
